Missy Roback’s fiction has been published in Stymie Magazine and short-listed for the Poets & Writers’ California Writers Exchange Award. She’s also contributed to Jim Walsh’s book, The Replacements: All Over But the Shouting (Voyageur Press, 2007). She has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco. She’s currently working on The Sky Ride, a novel in stories.
In 2002, she released her CD, Just Like Breathing, on Hear Kitty Records. Just Like Breathing made several year-end best-of lists, including those of the Chicago Sun-Times, Miles of Music, and Rockbites, and the song “Compass” was featured on the TV drama “Felicity.” Missy has also appeared on Mellow Drunk’s Always Be Drunk (Green Fuse Records, 2000), Mandible Chatter’s Measuring the Marigolds (Russell Records, 1999), and Viva Saturn’s Ships of Heaven (Restless Records, 1998) and Brightside (Restless, 1995).
